Getting to know me

My name is Michael Hough and my story is a unique one. To get the full story, head over to the About Me page.

Over the past two decades, I’ve transformed into a top-tier Amazon consultant from a corporate leader and scrappy young business owner. My trajectory wasn’t always obvious, but I knew one thing - I loved business. While being both an employee, business owner and consultant - I’ve found the most fulfillment in partnering with businesses to help them excel.

Although the majority of my clients are larger companies, I thoroughly enjoy working with startups and small family run companies that need help navigating the complexities of Amazon.

    Currently managing over $1.5M in annual ad spend on Amazon across 380+ campaigns.

  • Private label/brand creation from scratch. Targeting lucrative business opportunities on Amazon.com and working from A-Z to bring a brand to life. From the initial idea, to manufacturing, importing, inventory management, DTC rollout, advertising, growth, & ongoing management.

  • I regularly conduct market research and provide feasibility reports for various industries. This is mainly used to determine where companies should invest next to grow their product portfolio.

  • Extensive brand and product launch troubleshooting. Including tackling business critical errors, GS1/GTIN issues, trademark registrations, brand connection problems, & more.

  • Auditing PPC campaigns for various agencies and sellers, to ensure best practices are being used. In these instances, I provide a plan of action to improve their performance for each their goals. Recent projects have included high level audits for accounts with over a $1m annual advertising budget.

  • International product development, manufacturer relations, and U.S. importing. I've got contacts overseas and at major U.S. ports to simplify the process.

  • Launching and managing Amazon MCF services from the ground up for companies across a range of industries. Including integrating existing inventories into the MCF program. Recently I’ve been handling Shopify, Amazon, and Ebay inventory management/syncing.

  • Bringing international companies to the Amazon US market. This includes establishing seller accounts for non-residents from scratch, building out FBA/MCF plans, and managing the entire process.

  • Managing over 10,000 active products on Amazon within the FBA, MCF, and FBM services.

  • Product development for Amazon-specific growth companies. This entails hand-picking potential hit products on Amazon for these companies.

  • Manufacturer to port management. I have expert knowledge in all-things logistics when it comes to managing your e-commerce business. Whether you need a pallet moved domestically or a container moved globally, I’m here to help.

  • Managed the launching of Ebay, Etsy, Walmart, and other e-commerce marketplaces. This management included managing best practices, policies, and inventory across the various marketplaces.

  • Hazmat product handling - including the DG program, LTL, and SDS approvals.

  • Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) ad and inventory management.

  • This includes utilizing Amazon or other 3PLs to fulfill orders from your DTC website.
